This weekend we hosted a Halloween party for Finley and some of his friends. Whilst I wont mind letting Finley ‘trick or treat’ a few neighbours, I think the best way to celebrate Halloween with young children is to have a little party. I’ve always really loved Halloween and I jump at any opportunity to dress up and eat lots of sweets, seems my son is exactly the same!
Finley was sent an amazing Superhero Cape from EmmaCraftyMonkey. The cape is reversible so he can be one hero by day and one hero by night! It was personalised for him with his name and his very own superman logo, the detail and care taken is impressive and I know this will be a treasured item for him for years to come!
EmmaCraftyMonkey are also offering my readers the chance to win a Reversible & Personalised Super Hero Cape! Click here to enter the competition!
I had a great time setting up the room, we were sent a goody package by Everybody Loves Something Handmade which was jam packed with their brilliant handmade decorations. Paper bats, confetti and treat bags were included. My personal favourite were the super cute paper chains! My sister made some cupcakes and we popped the Jack O Lantern picks on top which looked fantastic.
We were also sent a peeping ghost window sticker by NutmegWallStickers. It really added the final spooky touch, they spotted him on their way in and the kids loved him! It was easy to apply and I didn’t have to faff about with scissors or worry about getting it straight.

I set up the party table with lots of food, but the Halloween staple is sweeties and they were all very lucky to be sent scrumptious sweet cones from CreativeOccasions. There were all kinds of spooky treats inside, a big hit were the vampire teeth and chocolate pumpkins! The cones come personalised with tags and messages so they’re perfect for kids parties.
We were also sent some yummy treats from Two Little Cake Ladies. The cake pops were different spooky characters, the favourites were the vampire and zombie! The pops were delicious (trust me I tested two one before they arrived), the cake inside is chocolate sponge with butter cream and the brilliant decorations are all done in chocolate. They were so good!
After they’d eaten their weights in food and the sugar rush had started to die down we thought it was time for some Halloween activities! We had received a dough mat and 6 spooky cutters from The Dotty Dough Factory and the kids had great fun creating scary characters! The Dotty Dough was brilliant, the colours are vibrant and its all made from natural non toxic ingredients.
We were also sent a Halloween in a Jar from JustGrrrlythings. It was really spooky, the jar was tied together with a plastic dolls arm – I loved it! Inside was a pumpkin bracelet, sweets and little Halloween toys and confetti. A really novel and unique idea for a party favour!
Event Themes sent some party boxes for the children, which had some great Halloween activity packs inside. They liked the stickers and the puzzles but the glow in the dark bat and zombie bubbles were definitely the favourite!
The Halloween crayons sent by Peanut and Gremlin went well with the colouring books. The little cat crayons were really cute and the vampire teeth crayons looked brilliant! They are non toxic so completely safe for little ones! You can win a cat crayon gift box by clicking here !
We all had a great time and I’m really looking forward to Halloween now! Might see if I can dig out Hocus Pocus and convince my husband to watch it with me tonight!
